A German local phone number is linked to an area code, such as 030 for Berlin or 089 for Munich. To request one through Agendly, the compliance review needs evidence of who will use it and an address that matches the requested area.

Checklist reviewed: 3 November 2026. This guide describes the documents for Agendly’s local-number review. Documents must match the actual end user and requested number type; acceptance follows review of the submitted evidence.
The required documents depend on whether the end user is a company, a sole trader or a private individual. The signed German registration form is required for all three.
Address and presence requirements
Provide the complete service address: street, building number, postal code, city and country. It must match the number’s geographic area code. Upload a utility bill less than three months old showing that address and the relevant holder.
The end user must be physically present in Germany when purchasing the number. Choosing a Berlin prefix alone does not establish eligibility for a Berlin number; the location evidence must support the request.
Company: required information and documents
Prepare the company’s registered name, German company registration number, an authorized representative’s first and last name, and a contact phone number.
The required files are:
- A German company registration certificate.
- The recent utility bill for the service address.
- The completed and signed German registration form.
The form must include the representative’s first and last name and the date. For a business, add the company stamp; when no stamp is available, write the company name by hand on the form.
Sole trader: required information and documents
Use the business profile and provide the owner or representative’s full name, business name, German registration number and contact phone number. Submit the German business registration evidence, the recent utility bill and the signed registration form.
A personal identity document does not replace business registration evidence for a business application. The business details and the person signing the form must describe the same end user.
Private individual: required information and documents
Provide your first and last name and a contact phone number. Submit a valid identity card or passport, the recent utility bill for the address matching the requested prefix, and the signed German registration form.
For EU orders, a valid identity card or passport from another EU member state can be reviewed as local identity evidence. Address and presence requirements still apply.
File preparation and common causes of rejection
German number registration requires scanned documents. Keep the whole document visible, with readable names, dates, addresses and signatures. An unsigned form, an outdated utility bill or an address outside the requested area can prevent approval.
A representative’s identity document is not part of the standard local-business document checklist above. Submit the required business documents rather than treating every client type as an individual application.
Local numbers, mobile availability and multiple profiles
This guide covers geographic local numbers. Mobile-number purchase availability and the ability to call mobile destinations are separate features. Mobile numbers are not offered in Agendly’s current German purchase flow; the latest inventory check on 2 November 2026 found no mobile coverage for that flow. This does not describe the whole German mobile market.
Create a separate compliance profile for each requested country and local prefix. Berlin and Munich therefore need separate prefix profiles, with evidence appropriate to each location. Existing approvals can remain in place while another profile is reviewed.
FAQ
Do I need the German form if I already have a company certificate?
Yes. The business registration certificate, address evidence and signed German form serve different purposes and are all required.
Can one address support every German area code?
The service address must match the requested number’s area. A profile for one prefix does not establish eligibility for another.
Does approval guarantee that a particular number is available?
No. Compliance review and available-number inventory are separate checks. Activation follows review and provisioning; this guide does not promise an activation deadline.
