Your Agendly, inside
your AI agent.
Bring your agents, campaigns and appointments into your AI workspace. Connect ChatGPT to your Agendly account with OAuth, or use an API key with Codex, Claude Code and other compatible MCP agents.
ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code and other MCP clients
What you can do
Ask in your own words. The client uses Agendly tools to read your account or prepare a change for you to review.
Read and analyse
Review campaigns, call history, contacts and appointments. Ask for totals, lists and date-based reports.
Prepare changes
Create or update agents, campaigns, appointment services and other supported resources through a proposal and approval flow.
Keep dashboard handoffs
Use dashboard links for payments, account connections, uploads and other steps that need the web app.
From API key to first request.
Choose OAuth or API key setup for your client.
Connect ChatGPT with OAuth
Sign in with your Agendly account and approve the permissions. No API key to copy.
Adding custom MCP servers depends on your account features and ChatGPT workspace settings.
- Add a custom MCP server in ChatGPT.
- Enter https://api.agendly.ai/mcp as the server URL and choose OAuth.
- Start connecting, sign in to Agendly and review the requested permissions.
- Authorize the connection, return to ChatGPT and try one of the requests below.
API key clients
Sign in to Agendly, open Integrations → API Integration and create a key for this connection. Your key grants access to your account.
Open API Integrationhttps://api.agendly.ai/mcpUse the AGENDLY_API_KEY environment variable in the examples below. Keep your real key out of shared configuration files and conversations.
Configure your agent
For API key clients, add a remote MCP server: use the endpoint above, select Streamable HTTP and set the X-API-Key header to your Agendly API key. For OAuth clients, use the same endpoint and authorize access from your Agendly account.
Using Codex or Claude Code? Copy the configurations below.
Codex
Add this entry to ~/.codex/config.toml. If the file already contains other MCP servers, keep those entries. Codex reads the X-API-Key header from your environment.
[mcp_servers.agendly]
url = "https://api.agendly.ai/mcp"
env_http_headers = { "X-API-Key" = "AGENDLY_API_KEY" }In the terminal you use to start Codex, set AGENDLY_API_KEY to your Agendly key, then start a new Codex session. Replace the placeholder before running the command.
export AGENDLY_API_KEY="<YOUR_AGENDLY_API_KEY>"
codexInside Codex, open /mcp and check that agendly is connected. Then try one of the requests below. Restart Codex after changing the configuration or environment.
Claude Code
Create or update .mcp.json in your project folder with this entry. If mcpServers already exists, add agendly inside it and keep the other servers. The variable reference lets Claude Code read your key from the environment.

"agendly": {

}
}Set AGENDLY_API_KEY in the terminal before starting Claude Code. Replace the placeholder with your Agendly key.
export AGENDLY_API_KEY="<YOUR_AGENDLY_API_KEY>"
claudeStart Claude Code in that project, approve the project MCP configuration when prompted, and open /mcp to check the connection. These instructions are for Claude Code; other Claude clients may have different connection requirements.
Try these requests
Start with a question. Try one of these examples in your client.
“Use Agendly to list my campaigns and their current statuses.”
“Show my appointments for tomorrow.”
“Analyse my calls from the last seven days.”
“Prepare a 30-minute service named Consultation and show me the proposal before applying it.”
Review changes before they run
Reads can run immediately. For changes, ask the client to show the full proposal, including new text and before/after values. After your explicit approval, it applies the stored proposal. You can also ask it to cancel a pending proposal.
The external client is responsible for asking for your approval. Only connect clients you trust with your account. Proposals expire and may need to be prepared again.
Connection questions
Which AI agents can I connect?
Use MCP clients supporting Streamable HTTP with OAuth, such as ChatGPT, or the custom X-API-Key header, such as Codex and Claude Code. Both setup methods are on this page. Legacy SSE and stdio are not supported.
Why do I get an authentication error?
Check that the API key is valid, has not expired or been revoked, and is available in the same environment that launches your client. Use your Agendly API key, not a dashboard session token or an OpenAI/Anthropic key.
How do I remove access?
For OAuth, open Integrations → API Integration and revoke the connected application. For API keys, delete or expire the key in the same panel. Then remove the connection from your client.
